All the Flanders Architecture Institute has to offer online, brought together in one spot. VAi@Home gives you a range of options to experience architecture at home. A virtual visit to one of our exhibitions, a DIY-book for all ages, a wide choice of audiovisual material, and last but not least: our online collection.

360° walkthroughs
The ongoing measurements against the spread of COVID-19 require a stay-inside. Did you not yet have the chance to visit our expositions RE-PRACTICE RE-VISIT RE-TURN. architecten de vylder vinck taillieu and The Eindhoven School: a forgotten avant-garde? No worries, from now on you can visit them at home via our virtual walkthroughs.

To the (colour) drawing table!
Discover beautiful colour drawings for young and old! The drawings in this booklet are part of research carried out by the architecture firm Dogma. They studied the history of different rooms. The drawings show what the rooms of important historical figures looked like, or what they could look like. Choose your own colours and patterns for the uncoloured rooms of artists, architects, writers, monks and even an alchemist.

Dive into our online collection
The Flanders Architecture Institute manages a collection of about 200 archives, spread over more than 4000 linear metres. On normal days you can consult them in our reading room, but you can also browse them on your own via our online database. Our collection highlights will get you started!

Communities of Tacit Knowledge: Architecture and its Ways of Knowing
This newly funded Innovative Training Network, as part of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions within the European Framework Program Horizon 2020, trains young researchers in understanding the specific knowledge that architects use when designing buildings and cities. TACK gathers ten major academic institutions, three leading cultural architectural institutions as well as nine distinguished architecture design offices. Collaboratively these partners offer an innovative PhD training program on the nature of tacit knowledge in architecture, resulting in ten parallel PhD projects.
